Snow and Rain
In the Winter snowstorms can dump a lot of snow in a short period.
The roads (Old Rim and Rim Loop) are plowed usually within a day of any storm.
We will do our best to have the driveway cleared before your arrival.
After your arrival we will try to get the driveway cleared before you leave.
Due to limited resources available in the area, particularly after a storm,
we cannot guarantee this service. You may also need to dig around your vehicle(s).
A Snow shovel and scraper are available for your use on the back porch.
If you are booking in the Winter months we suggest a 4WD or AWD vehicle with good tires.
We want you to get home safely. Check the weather and traffic before you leave.
Be careful and take it slow going home. Drive well below the regular speed
if there is any possibility of rain, ice or snow on the road. In particular
drive extra slow after the Woods Canyon Lake turnoff as you go down the rim.
We have seen far too many severe accidents from people rushing to get home.
